Scotty, I just wanted to drop you a note and tell you how great a job you and your staff did in the USSSA 10U AAA World Series. You have an unbelievable complex the was highlighted by your magnificent staff. Our kids had the time of their lives for 5 days. From the opening ceremonies to our final loss was time and money well spent.
If we can swing it we will keep and eye on your website and try to come down for a tournament next year. It is a decent haul for us from SW MO to Southaven, MS. That being said if you have a AAA tournament next Summer that is what you think as one of you better ones team wise please let me know.
Again thanks to you and you staff for everything. We hope to see you next summer!

i just wanted to drop a quick line to you all about our experience these last few days. we were in the bancorpsouth sports center friday evening when the tornado came through. and i need to say that the level of concern was wonderful. you all reacted quickly and that avoided a lot of potential injuries. thank you for your great work.
as far as the tournament, we were only able to complete 3 games before the tournament got cancelled, but we had a great experience there at snowdengrove. a lot of athletic complexes and tournament organizations could take lessons from you all.
thanks for a great weekend for our team,

Southaven was a wonderful host for the weekend. The fields were in great shape and we were treated well as usual. We love coming to Southaven, just wish you would move about 3 hours closer to Paducah KY.
Thanks again for a good weekend. Also, thanks for the good weather (finally).

Just wanted to drop you a line to let you know what a first class tournament you and your staff run. The umpires were great, the fields were as good as you will find and your staff really kept the place top shelf clean.
Even though we came up a little short (4th place) it was still a great weekend for a team that had only played 3 games together. Again, thanks for a great weekend.

Scotty, I want to thank you and your staff for a very well run tournament for the Super NIT. I hate that we could not perform any better than we did, and be able to come back on Sunday, because looking at the results, Sunday sure did look exciting. The Fields were in great shape, the umpires were very respectful, and the city is just always nice, everywhere you go. We will sure to be back at some point this year, hopefully for the USSSA 10AAA World Series.
Thanks Very much

I want to just personally thank you for running such organized and great tournaments. Though we were rained out twice, we have really enjoyed playing in Snowden Grove. We will be playing there more next year. I think that it is the elite park for youth baseball in this whole region. Again, thanks for running such professional operations that all from the kids to the coaches to the spectators really enjoy!

Hello,
Just a quick note to say THANK YOU so much for the past weekend! Two Waterloo Wizards teams traveled from Illinois to Memphis hoping to find a fantastic tournament and we were not disappointed! Your complex is absolutely first rate, the tournament was so organized and everyone was very nice and accommodating! Great competition, excellent fields, good weather and nice people. What more could we ask for? We are already planning a return trip for next year and a younger 10U Wizard team had so much fun following us on your website that they are thinking of coming this year as well. Again, thanks so much...I can't tell you how disappointing it is when we ask our parents to spend the time and money to travel somewhere out of state and the tournament is not run well. We will tell everyone around how great Snowden Grove is, no doubt!
Thanks again,

I am a grandmother who lives in Southeast Missouri . My grandson plays at your park every weekend. I just wanted to tell how much I appreciate you web site. I am able to see if his team won and check all the scores. It makes me feel I am a part of his life even if I am unable to come to the game. I told my daughter the only thing that would make it better is if you actually broadcast the games!
Anyway, thank you, thank you, thank you!

I spoke to your UIC (Terry Malone) on my way out yesterday, and just wanted to drop you a line as well to tell you that your staff was absolutely the highest quality for the Wood Bat Classic this last weekend. The umpiring was consistent, professional, and even the strike zone was the same between different plate umpires. Your guys knew the rules of the game and they were courteous to the players and the fans.
My thanks to you and all the staff at Snowden Groves. We have traveled to Southaven at least once every year since our player was 10, and it’s always the highlight of the season. We only saw one local team while we were there, but they were to best team in the pool and we played them tough in both games. Even though we didn’t carry the trophy away at the end of the day, we got exactly what we hoped to get: top level baseball games at a beautiful venue.
Thanks again to you and your staff, and hope to see you again in coming years.

Hello Mr. Baker. I am the father for the shortstop (#5) on the Texas Storm and I wanted to thank you again for a wonderful week. Your tournament was the best run tourney we've ever attended. From the facilities to the teams involved, it was first-class. Additionally, I have coached and seen a lot of youth baseball games and the umpiring crew you have is by far the most consistent and professional group I've seen.
Unfortunately we came up a bit short but hats-off to you and your team for putting on a first-rate competition. AND thank you again for indulging me with your conversation and stories in the pavilion.
Best of luck to you and yours.

Our team just returned from the NABF World Classic and what an experience it was. Everything, from the opening ceremonies and skills competition, to the cleanliness of the facility to the very impressive complex, was first class.
We had heard plenty of good things about Southaven and Snowden Grove and what we heard was all true. This is as good as it gets for youth baseball.
We had a memorable experience and can’t wait to return in the future.

Meant to email you Monday and compliment the 2 umpires we had Sunday. We had them for both games Sunday and they both did a good job. Even though I didn’t always agree with the strike zone they were consistent with it throughout both games. One thing that stands out is that they always tried to get into the right position to make the call. They didn’t get planted in their spots and just make a call they moved to the play and got in position. I thought they did a real good job.
Thanks,

Just wanted to drop you an email and let you know how much our team enjoyed playing at your park. The facilities are great and the hospitality couldn't have been better. I thought your umpires are as good as any I have seen at this level. I don't remember the names of the 2 that called our championship game, but they were as professional as any we have had in spite of the other coaches continuing to argue balls and strikes. You guys do a great job!
We look forward to playing there again.

To Everyone at Snowden Grove Park:
My son played for the Mid Ohio Bullets in the recently concluded 10U AAA World Series held at your park July 15th-22nd. The team, coaches and their family members were more than impressed with your facility and staff. The fields were beautiful and the grounds crew did a great job keeping them that way for each game.
As for the tournament organizers and umpires, you were first class all the way! I can't begin to imagine the time and people required to organize such an event. From the opening ceremony until the day we left, everything went off without a noticeable hitch. Furthermore, it was very refreshing to attend a tournament of this size and have so few problems with umpires. They were sharp dressed adult professionals with accommodating communication skills. Calls were missed, but they were few. The pace of each game was crisp. The focus was always on the kids, as it should be.
About the same time you were building Snowden Grove Park, I too was heavily involved in a similar undertaking (albeit not to your scale) in my home town of Sparta, Ohio. I know first hand, the planning, hard work and money required to create a park of any size. What your community has done is, in a word, inspiring!
I spent a lot of time taking note of your newly added Shade System over your bleachers. We have many difficulties with what we engineered for shade at Highland Community Park. I may contact you later for a recommendation.
Again, way to go Snowden Grove! I hope we get to visit again real soon.
Sincerely,

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for you kindness and hospitality during our visit to Southaven. We enjoyed the tournament so much, and we just wanted you to know how impressed we were with your facilities and your tournament direction. Your facilities are the nicest that I have ever seen, and you are to be commended for designing such a wonderful place for your young athletes...................
Once again, thank you again for your hospitality during our vacation to the 2007 World Series. We hope to visit your city and ball park again soon.

Just a note to pass on if opportunity arises to your peers and staff. Cardinal Baseball would like to thank everyone at Snowden Grove Park for the ultimate in youth baseball experience during this week's USSSA World Series. We may not be the overall champions, but in our way of seeing the week only two teams are guaranteed to walk away happy...the overall champion and the winner of the consolation bracket.
The umpires, staff, fields crews and everyone we came into contact with did an outstanding job. From our players, coaching staff and parents, congratulations on a job well done!

I just wanted to drop you a line thanking you for a wonderful experience. Our 14u team played in the June Jam tournament this past weekend and while we didn't have our "A" game, our experience was certainly an A++++!!
The fields were magnificent, the organization was outstanding, and while I didn't agree with every umpire's call (show me a coach that does), the umpires were the best we've seen. Not once did they not hustle to get into position to make the call. We played 5 games in Southaven and of those only once did we have a home plate ump not bark out the calls.
I will recommend Southaven to any coach that asks. GREAT JOB!!!

I don't know if you remember me but I met you this past Friday when I picked up our coaches passes before our first game. I just wanted to take a couple of seconds and let you know how much I appreciated bringing my team to your last two tournaments (Wooden Bat Classic and Fall National NIT). I've been coaching baseball since 1979 (High School, American Legion, etc.) so I can appreciate the amount of work that goes into this and I just wanted to say thanks!!!
Everything was done in a first class manner and was a really good experience for my team. From the competition, to your facilities, the hospitality of all of your workers and the great job done by your umpires of managing the games was just super!!!
Again thanks and great job...

On behalf of Joe Chandler and myself, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you, Mike, Fletcher and the rest of the staff for the support and care that was taken to make this, in our opinion, the most successful tournament we have had at Snowden Grove Park. I know very well that you and the staff never really get the respect and accolades that are deserved for the work that is done prior to our teams arriving, the tournament and then the post-tournament clean-up.
Joe and I would also like to highlight one of your ground crew workers, Freddie Robinson. All in all, the entire ground crew did a great job, but Freddie seemed to always be there when we needed him and he consistently showed a genuine interest in doing the right thing with regard to the care of the fields and the needs of Joe and I. It was refreshing to deal with a person that truly is proud of what he does and he has no problem displaying his respect for you, Mike and Fletcher. I am sure that you are happy to have Freddie on your staff and we look forward to working with him next season.
Another person that Joe and I would like to recognize is Laurie Gilbert, she really is one that is willing to go the extra mile to satisfy our needs. She always has a smile, even on the day that she had to stay there until 2:00 AM and then return the next morning around 8:00 AM. I can assure you that she was a welcome addition for us.
Bottom line, you guys do a great job, without your hard work this would not be the tournament that it has become. Every year has seen improvement, but this year tops them all! Thanks again for all that you and your staff does to make this the great experience that it was for us.

We enjoyed playing at your facility this week and the hospitality of everyone in South Haven. Please pass along my gratitude to Gateway Tire on Goodman Road for taking care of our Van. We picked-up a nail over at the practice area and had a flat tire. We did not realize it until be took a break between games and needed to transport some players. With limited time we found "Jimmy" at Gateway Tire and not only did he personally expedite my repair but did it at no charge. What a great attitude these guys had to a person who lives out of town and may not ever be in their shop again. Mr. Buntin should be proud of his guys and especially Jimmy. Just wanted to express my extreme gratitude for all you and your organization did for the NABF World Classic. It was a true once in a lifetime experience for our boys. I can't say enough about the facilities, the professionalism, and the red carpet treatment we felt every where we went. Your umpires that worked with the 13U group were the most personable and enjoyable people I've dealt with in baseball the past 10 years, even questionable calls left you smiling after talking to the Umpire.
The competition was as billed, top notch all the way. While a 1-2-1 record may not jump out at you, against that kind of caliber play and knowing we only missed the Championship round by a tie breaker of 6 more runs given up, we left feeling we belonged and could genuinely compete with the top in the country.
Again, thanks from all of the Miami County Renegades organization, hopefully we'll get the opportunity to come back again.

I suspect this will be my last year to coach. The Reds have played their final game in Southaven, and my son, Kerry, is 'aging out.' My youngest son plays football instead of "God's sport." My teams haven't always performed their best at Snowden Grove, but the experience of playing down there has always been the finest. the germantown sox 9's had a good time at our VERY FIRST TOURNAMENT, this weekend.
while we were 0-3, we showed improvement in not only our first tourney, but our very first game whatsoever as a team, and the very first competitive game several of ours players every played in, and many players first time to pitch or catch.
your facilities were nice, the water in the dugouts was a very nice touch.
i want to pass along a thanks to the ark dirtdobbers 9's in game where they blew us out, they allowed us to "slip-in" our eleventh player for a bat in the last inning.
it is certainly easier to be gracious with a huge lead, but i certainly would not have asked in a close game, anyway.
the main point of this letter is to comment on the quality of the umpires. they were GREAT!. no bad calls in the field, either way. and the strike zone was consistent for both teams. makes us want to come back more.

Note to Joey Odom (Vice President USSSA Baseball):
Just a note to congratulate USSSA and the City of Southaven on the finest tournament any team in my organization has ever attended. The 10U AAA World Series in Southaven, MS was an absolute gem. My only regret is that we didn't discover the event prior to this year.
My team played a game at midnight due to rain delays, but they were still dragging and lining the fields prior to the games.
Unbelievable attention to detail. Completely on top of everything. So much so that it simply surprised us. We're just not used to it!
Make sure you give them an "atta boy".

On behalf of my Pittsburgh Wild Things – Red team, I want to extend my thanks and appreciation for hosting such a wonderful event last week in Southaven. You were certainly presented with some challenges like Hurricane Dennis and the 4-5 inches of rain Friday evening, but the City of Southaven and staff rose to the occasion and came through with flying colors. The boys really enjoyed playing at such a nice facility and everyone was very polite; only wish we played better as a team. Although we did have some close games, just came out on the wrong end.
If you have any time off, enjoy it, you certainly deserve it. If you are hosting anymore tournaments this year, hope the weather is more cooperative.
Sincerely,
Sam Kildare

............thoroughly enjoyed the NABF World Classics. Also please pass on that the umpiring was first rate. I know that alot of folks complain, and of course I may not agree with every call, but it was a pleasure to be have our games called by skilled professionals. The entire tournament was fabulous and something that I take pride in as a Mississippian.

I just wanted to drop you a note of thanks for allowing us to attend your tournament this past weekend. We at Kelley USA attend top tournaments all over the country in order to promote and sell our gear - so naturally we have seen a lot of ballparks. I have to tell you... the City of Southaven's facilities are among the best that I have seen! All of your staff was very courteous and professional - not something we always find. In addition, the chicken tenders and sweet tea from your concession stand kept us going! We are looking forward to attending more of your tournaments in the future! Thanks again,

Missed you on my way out Sunday when I stopped by to thank everyone for a great tournament - so...thank you. We had a great time and enjoyed the competition.
The City of Southaven Parks Department did a good job getting the fields ready with a ton of rain and the umpiring was it's usual high quality. Take care and we'll see you next year.

I wanted to say thank you so much for such a wonderfully run tournament. It was an experience that our boys will remember forever. The park was beautiful and everyone working at the park was so nice. I feel I need to point out how absolutely great the officials were. I'm not referring to the calls they made but their fantastic attitudes. I've seen officials with huge chips on their shoulders so often that it becomes as much of the game as the crack of the bat and slap of the leather. It was a nice change to enjoy an entire tournament and enjoy that "southern hospitality". It was so fun and I'm so glad we got the chance to experience it. On behalf of the St. Louis Yankees I want to tell you Thanks. We needed a tournament like this. One of our coaches said it perfectly... "I feel like I've died and gone to heaven". It was beautiful.
Thank you for going that extra mile for our boys!!!

I want to express my gratitude to the City of Southaven Parks Department for running an absolutely first class tournament. Even though our team didn’t perform as we expected, there was nothing from our point of view to complain about. I am a baseball commissioner at our organization and know that there are many folks out there that complain (more than we like to hear) and I know how I feel when I receive the positive feedback.
I had heard the rumors of Southaven and I was impressed with the setup. You have a beautiful facility and I loved the parking. That’s a big issue at our place. I would love to have the setup you have!
The concession stand was wonderful (loved those burgers and dogs), your gate folks were polite and everyone was approachable and helpful. The umpiring was good and your fields were very nice. Of course, more rain would help but we had no complaints.
Send our thanks to the grounds crew. I know that their contribution is acknowledged the least. I thanked them each time they came off the field. Also, thank the invisible folks. It took me a game or two to figure out where the scoreboard operators were. In four games, only one time was the count wrong and the ump quickly corrected that situation. I think that’s exceptional work.
I hope that I can make the journey to your place again. I have an 8-year-old although his desire to play is not as strong as his older brother. I will say that he had a desire for those sno-cones, the watermelon flavor!
Thanks again!

I just want to commend the City of Southaven and staff for putting on a great tournament this past weekend. You may not realize it, but of the 12 teams entered in the 9u bracket, 10 are currently ranked in the top 50 nationally in USSSA points. Playing in tournaments like these, win or lose prepares us for the big ones in July.
As you already know, I support and will continue to support your efforts in bringing quality baseball tournaments to Southaven. If playing there contributes to this, I am glad to do my part to help.
Here is to a great rest of the season.

On behalf of Goose's Gold 13U baseball team I want to thank the City of Southaven and staff for a well run and enjoyable tournament. Our team and their parents had a wonderful time. We are looking forward to the upcoming events.

Hi, my name is David Bryant, and I am a Coach with the Cabot Yankees. We have played many tournaments at Southaven, and we feel that there is not a place around that can top you guys. Simply put, you are the best. On or first trip several years ago, we drove in on Friday night for a 8:00 game. Having never been there before, our expectations were limited to what we were used to. Additionally, as a young boy growing up, I had played in more than a few tournaments through the years. So once we made the turn into Snowden Grove, it was soon very obvious that we were about to be part of something very special. The only thing that could come to my mind, was almost immediately said by one of my boys at the same time I was thinking it, which was, "Every field looks like the field in the movie Field of Dreams".
Since that first Tournament, we play at least two Tournaments a year at Snowden Grove. We do this because the boys recognize how special it is to play there. We have played National Tournaments in Owensboro, Kentucky , St. Louis, Missouri, as well as all over the state of Arkansas. Believe me when I say this, there is not a better facility out there. Couple this with very professional Umpires, outstanding organization, and a great Baseball atmosphere and you have something to be very proud of.

I would like to thank you once again for a wonderful season of baseball at Snowden Grove Park. As usual you and your staff ran first class tournaments all season long. (Including the fall). As much as I hate to say, they (your staff) didn't miss a beat with you being laid up for a while. I know they missed you, as we all did, but they did the same job with the same quality of workmanship as always. I would also like to commend your umpire-in-chief ( Mr. Corey) and his staff. I can honestly say that this season is the first that I can ever remember that I didn't have an argument with an umpire. I am sure I didn't always agree with the calls, but the umpires did a tremendous job of being in the correct position to make the call. We all make mistakes, errors, or miss calls, but being where you are supposed to be makes a big difference. In the case of our team, we are a family run organization. Myself, my father, my brother and my son get to spend time together and play baseball at the same time. Your facility and crew just make the experience a whole lot better. For me and my family, I know you are helping make memories that will last a lifetime.
Thank You for all you do!!

Dear Tournament Director of USSSA Fall Nationals:
I am one of the parents whose son played in Southaven in 14U. I was very
impressed with the facility, management, and SPEED of updating the results
both on your website and USSSA site. We learned who won the tournament on
the next day. This is GREAT! This was the best organized tournament I was
involved in. Great Job!

Our team, the Ramona Bulldogs, participated in the USSSA 10U AAA World Series. We extended our vacation after the series and are just now getting settled at home again where I could email you about what a positive experience we had at the Southaven facility and with the organization of the tournament. The fields were beautiful and well maintained throughout the tournament. We were especially impressed with the speed in which game results and team information was posted! After one game, we were still in the parking lot at the fields when family from back home had already read the results of our game on the internet and were calling with good wishes! We didn't realize how lucky we were until we stopped by "another World Series event on the way home". The fields there were dry and dusty. They were barely maintained during the tournament and information regarding the games was not available until several days later. Thank you for doing a great job and making the experience well worth the travel from California!

Just wanted to take a moment and thank you for the World Series event that you headed up. It was truly a great experience for the kids and the park itself was second to none. Even though we did not fair as well as we had hoped, we truly enjoyed the environment that surrounded the World Series. Your staff should be proud of what they put together. Please thank them all from my team, parents, coaches and myself.
Keep up the excellent work that you do for our youth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Ala Heat 11s had a super time @ your NABF WS. Thanks so much for the effort/labor for the boys. We always end our year @ South Haven and eagerly look forward to playing at your park. This year we lost 3 players and had the unenviable draw of playing the Tulsa Lookouts, the team I am certain will win the tourney.
I only wish we lived closer to the park, would love to play there more often than twice/yr.
God's best to you, Jim and Don-

Just wanted to thank you and your crew for a great job. It was our first time down there with our son and the Clarksville Orioles 90--14-year olds. They all had a great time. The officials and staff were the best we've had in any tournament this year. The facility is just awesome.
And it was good to know that an Austin Peay Alum was heading up the works. Again, thanks for giving our kids a great thrill and a first class professional environment.
I'm sure if our team continues next year, we'll be back.

The first time I saw Southaven my eyes blew up! That’s a good thing. Grass infields, lakes over the fences. It was just a very bright place. Hope all is well in Southaven. We really enjoyed the tourney this weekend and I just wanted to say thanks. The fields were great and I was very impressed with your umpire crew...I think they did an excellent job. The umps were good with the boys and were without a doubt some of the fairest and most consistent we've ever been involved with. I hope you pass this compliment along because they worked hard and I think they deserve a "pat on the back".

Gentlemen,
Best tournament we have experienced. Everything was positive, from the outstanding facilities to the surrounding community, from the skilled umpiring to the competitive teams we encountered. The sportsmanship of the other coaches, players and fans was refreshing.
I've tried talking another one of our coaches to travel to Southaven for 1 1/2 yrs for a tournament but he has been reluctant due to the distance. Now he wants to travel to Southaven 2 or 3 times a year. You may get to know our face.

Thank you for a great tournament in Southaven this past weekend. We have heard about your facility for the past couple of years and have always wanted to play in a tournament there. A person would be hard pressed to find anything wrong with your facility or the manner in which
the tournament was conducted. Your staff were helpful and courteous. Your umpires were professional, even when the call was not what a coach wanted to hear. Your fields were great. If you did not notice, the kids had a great time, and that is what it is about.
Please extend my thanks to all your staff on a job well done. Hopefully, we will be able to return to Southaven.

Just wanted to let you know that we had great time this weekend at the Ben's Place Tournament. Everything was great.
We were given umpire evaluation cards and I did not turn them in, but I did want you to know that the umpires that called our games were the best that we have ever had. Anywhere! I appreciate the UIC getting competent, consistent and sometimes animated umpires. It really make a difference.
Once again thanks for a great tournament and we look forward to coming back and playing again.

Thanks for hosting the " Super Pretzel Shootout " tournament. I also want you to thank your organization from the check in personnel, field prep, and umpires for making our team feel welcomed.
I have been involved in baseball for many years and it is great to see a company like yours keeping the great tradition of baseball available for all of our youth. Again, please make sure your people know we appreciated their hard work.
The one thing that could make the next one better is for our team to be playing on a facility similiar to Snowden Grove located in Huntsville Alabama!!
Thanks Scotty, and we will see you soon,

You probably get this all the time - but when I looked at my email this morning and saw that the Challenge Cup brackets were already posted, I was speechless. After a couple tournaments where we were not told when or where we play until the first tourney day (and in one case a phone call at midnight), it was so nice to have a schedule a week in advance.

I just wanted to drop you a line and tell you how much we appreciate you and the facility in Southaven. As you know we play there quite a lot and hope to continue doing the same in the future. We just returned from a "World Series" where we finished 2nd. There is no comparison with your facility, organization, umpiring, and overall tournament. This is not "sour grapes" towards the other tournament, we finished 2nd out of 38 and couldn't have played or done any better.
.....................You and your staff over the past 4 years have "spoiled" us. From a top notch facility to the ladies taking up tickets, your group can not be beat. This includes umpires, opening ceremonies, concession workers, your office staff and of course you! Your opening ceremonies are always great. The competitions, the presentation of teams and fireworks show are second to none. The kids really love the time you have set aside to trade pins. You have a great atmosphere, and everyone has a good time. Keep up the good work. I don't believe there is anyone or group that can hold a candle to what you do in Southaven.
Keep Up The Good Work...you are making memories for 1000's of kids at each event!

Myself being a "Mgr" , I know things like this is actually a compliment, it is a reflection of yourself and your staff that you have put together. The week, that we went down, I actually had big visitors coming in, but I, like you had something else that was important to me, so I came to Snowden Grove. Our visit went well here at work and thanks to your staff and even yourself at the meeting, we really had a great time. We were treated to a special place, with very nice and courteous people, from the kids selling concessions, to the field workers, the directors and the umpires. When the tournament director (Jim "Bergy" Berggren) walked up to us when we had been eliminated and bragged on our behavior, from our parents, to kids, to coaches, that made the trip and our time that we put into coaching, all worth it. Many thanks to you, but please relay along to Don and the other gentleman (Jim Berggren), that we were really grateful, to be treated with the respect and friendliness and to play in a fist-class facility with a first-class staff.
All of us were really impressed (kids, parents and coaches)

Absolutely Wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!
You guys did an outstanding job of making tonight a night the boys will always remember. I can't imagine the time that goes into making an event such as this happen, but you managed to make it look like a piece of cake. The boys, the parents, and even the siblings had a wonderful time. The quartet was fantastic, and starting the night with a prayer and ending with remembering our country made the night unforgettable. Truly, it's all about the kids, and they had a great time tonight. Thank you for all you do.

It was great to meet you finally. My team (parents & players) had a great time at your facility. Your facility is awesome and as we all know facilities are only as good at your staff and umpires. I wanted to pass on a note of thanks to you and your entire staff for making the decision on rescheduling the USSSA Fall Nationals tournament when you did. First of all we were all disappointed when we heard the news, but upon scrambling to make the changes, we quickly realized how significant the timing of your team's decision was.
As you know our team is coming down from Iowa/Illinois. Most of our team is actually flying down. The key to your decision was in the timeliness. Had you NOT made the decision when you did, we would have had families already in the air coming down to Memphis. Because of the timing, I was able to contact TWA and make all of our flight changes (thanks to TWA ... no change fees were charged.... with 9 plane tickets, this could have been ugly). We were also impressed that when we contacted the hotel and they already knew of our situation and accommodated our requests.
Having been a tournament director myself, I know that your staff's role is one of the worst jobs you can have (if everything goes "perfect" .. no one says thanks ... if "anything" goes wrong, then it's all your fault). I just wanted to pass on our team's and our parents thanks for handling this in a truly professional manner. In waiting just 6 more hours, we would have had parents/kids on airplanes .... again, everyone is disappointed about the delay, but also appreciative that we had the timing to adjust accordingly. Look forward to seeing you on 10/26!

Good morning!
Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed following the 10-year-old USSSA World Series online. Looks like you had your own thriller again this year, created in part by the two Georgia Roadrunner teams, who made it to the semis before dying out. I was following several of the Louisiana teams. Unfortunately, they didn't fare well this year.
Your online presence is merely an extension of your professional approach and I just wanted to let you know people are "watching". Good luck with the Dizzy Dean this weekend.

Thank you so much for the chance to bring a group of kids together and play the great game of baseball. Snowden Grove is the best place in the South to play the game. You and your staff do a great job and the fields are top of the line. I have traveled to Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, and New York in the past 2 years and I can honestly say that Snowden Grove host the best tournaments around. I hope to come back this spring and bring at least 3 age groups with me. Thanks so much!

I just wanted to drop a line to thank you for the great time we had during this past summer's USSSA 10-year-old World Series. You guys really know how to throw a party!
We set out this year to make some dreams for our families and our kids. The 2000 World Series in Southaven created images and dreams that will last a lifetime for the Cajun Sluggers. A runner-up finish after six days and 13 games was both an exhilarating and a fulfilling experience. You were a major part of that successful experience.
I have two ball players (10 and 12 ) and we've played a number of tournaments through the years (this was our fourth World Series), but this tournament has set the standard. The organization, easy access to tournament officials, and professionalism make Southaven a place that people will come back to time and time again. Dealing with you and (pardon me for not remembering names) Bergie (?) and your umpire-in-chief over the week put a great face on Southaven and Snowden Park.
And, the facility, WOW! Undoubtedly one of the finest facilities in the country. Not only the number of fields, but the care of these fields is absolute tops. As you know we brought a number of fans from South Louisiana and we found the seating capacities and comfort extremely accommodating. The concessions areas, restrooms and "commons" area near the center of the park were awesome.
Thanks for the great experience. You're helping make dreams come true, both for parents and kids who'll look back at this experience in 20-30 years as one of the highlight of their lives. We'll be back without a doubt!
Thanks again for the memories!

Scotty -
I thought you might appreciate a little feedback after our St. Louis Wildcats finished the tournament at your complex last weekend... My parents and their kids are very sports minded and with both girls' select softball and boys' baseball, we have seen many a complex around the Midwest, so I think we can judge quality. Quite simply, your complex at Southaven was truly unbelievable. I thought we died and went to baseball heaven. The complex was clean, the staff were both courteous and professional and the fields were easily the best any of us have seen. Please take a bow and pass on to the entire crew to keep up the good work.
We will see you soon!!
Best regards,
Joseph A. Coleman, St. Louis Wildcats

I wanted to email you to let you know how much we enjoyed playing in such a nice facility. I was most impressed by the quality of the umpires and staff. Although I disagreed with some of the calls (as all coaches do) all of the umpires handled all the situations with class and an even temper. They seemed to be very experienced and communicated well with all the coaches and players. You all are very fortunate to have such aggressive civic leadership to put together a park like Snowden. Please convey this to your Mayor, city council and other officials that participated in making this project come together.

Just wanted to say thanks for the great time in April. Our team, the New Hope Trojans (11-12), played during the weekend of April 15th and were very impressed with your facilities and the way you ran your tournament. I
would like to thank you most of all for restructuring the tournament bracket at the last minute so that each team could play at least 3 games.
We'll be back the first weekend in June to play in a USSSA qualifier tournament and know that we'll receive the same southern hospitality shown a couple of weeks ago.

"I wanted to write and thank you very much for the experience my 13 year-old team had this past weekend at the SuperPretzel / Southaven Shootout at Snowden Grove Park.
Of course we were thrilled to be able to win the tournament and proud that our boys played well against some outstanding competition. The main reason I am writing however, is to pass on congratulations to you, your staff, and the community of Southaven, for the most well-run tournament we have ever been involved with.
Your staff was extremely courteous and helpful. They made the atmosphere wonderful for the kids and the awards you presented to the championship team were first class.
What can I say about the ballpark! Snowden Grove is superb! What a beautiful park. So well maintained and clean as a whistle. I was remarking to a local Southavenite how nice the facility is and the resident told me that Southaven has a mayor with guts who is committed to giving your community the best recreation facilities around. Please pass on my kudos to Mayor Greg Davis for a job well done.
I work with the Mississippi State University broadcast team and in that role have traveled throughout the country. I've yet to see a better community recreation facility that can match what you have there in Southaven. Again, congratulations and continued success in producing quality baseball tournaments for our youth.."

Just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how thoroughly we enjoyed the tournament last week. That has got to be by far and away the best, most beautiful complex it has ever been our pleasure to play in. The concessions offered more than the same "old, same old" fare that we get every weekend, the officiating was top notch, the staff was helpful, well informed and polite and the prices were very fair. I wish we could play down there every weekend!
One more time - that is by far the nicest complex of it's kind I have ever seen. Thanks again for everything!"

“I just wanted to thank you for putting on a 1st class tournament. Everything about the weekend was first class; from the fields, to the complex accommodations, to the running of the tournament. You guys did a spectacular job in less than desirable weather conditions. I look forward to our future tournaments at your complex. I had heard great things about your complex - my expectations were high, but you guys exceeded them- thanks again, and congratulations on what you guys have achieved. Looking forward to seeing you again.”

Wonderful job done this past weekend on your tournament. I just wanted you to know how much we enjoyed Southaven's new facility and the whole tournament experience. Our families were really awestruck by Snowden Grove Park. It is really a great place to play baseball. I think the greatest compliment I heard about it was when one of our family members said, "This place is nicer than Disney's Wide World of Sports", we've been to both and I too agree that for the youth, this facility is as nice if not nicer than theirs.
We can't wait to return to the next event. We truly appreciated everything that went on with the tournament, our boys had a great time. Keep up the good work and we'll see you in the real near future."

Thank you again for allowing us to participate in your inaugural tournament.”
